Belocaulus willibaldoi Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009
Out at night or during the day in wet weather (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
Exterior: Relatively slender body; brown, light brown, or gray body with scattered dark spots; usually light longitudinal stripe on the mid-notum; light brown sole and hyponotum; often a dark line near each edge of the notum and on each side of the central pale median line; sole width is >1/2, but less than whole width of hyponotum; female genital pore post-medial on the right hyponotum; male genital pore under right lower tentacle (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
Interior: Papillae, either irregular or arranged in 2+ longitudinal rows, towards the tip of the penis glans; penis glans with a wide base, narrowing toward a pointed end with small fringe; penial gland with 18-26 tubules and a conical papilla; penis without spathe; rounded spermatheca with short, thick duct that joins female atrium; small, yellowish accessory gland enveloped in tegument at the connection of the spermatheca duct and oviduct; short penis base (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
Externally identical to B. angustipes, internally distinguished because B. willibaldoi has a stouter penis with no spathe and shorter base, and conical penis glans with papillae on anterior part and a small fringe on the apex/end, female accessory gland in tegument rather than often partially out of it; B. angustipes with 19-22 jaw plates and B. willibaldoi with 21-25 jaw plates (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
Sarasinula species larger, more ovate body; different coloration (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
To 70 mm long, 18 mm wide total, 5 mm wide sole (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
S and SE Brazil (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
Collected in urban habitats in gardens; under dead logs, wood, debris and in or on the soil (Ohlweiler & Gomes 2009).
