External: Mantle with granular skin and sometimes a horseshoe-shaped groove; pneumostome on mid-point of mantle side; no caudal pore; pointed tail end; one-part sole (Sirgel 1985).
Internal: Sharp jaw; typical arionid radula; strong, ovate internal shell; penis with four sections: short basal apical section attached to vas deferens and retractor muscle and with an internal papilla, wider section and third sections containing multiple calcareous spines, and fourth, basal section long and thin; vagina and oviduct longer than atrium; upper portion of vagina in the shape of a bulb, attached to spermatheca duct; calcareous or cartaliginous projections attached within vaginal bulb (Sirgel 1985).
