Biology:
Three species are in the genus (Schileyko 2002).
Morphology:
External: Thick tail with hooked tip (Schileyko 2002).
Internal: Viscera extend through tail; shell bilaterally symmetrical; epiphallus with worm-like caecum; short, very wide penis containing double-walled verge; thin penis sheath; penial retractor muscle attached to base of epiphallus; oviduct and vagina variable; two strong retractor muscles at apex of vagina; sometimes a small appenix on side of vagina; spermatheca small; many fine retractor muscles attached to atrium, base of penis, and vagina (Schileyko 2002).
Distribution:
KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa, E Zimbabwe (SE Africa) (Herbert 1997; Schileyko 2002).
