Conservation status:
Rare, small distributions in undisturbed habitats: of conservation concern (Herbert 1997).
Behaviour:
Huddles with other slugs when resting in leaf litter (Herbert 1997).
Morphology:
External: Gray-brown body; rounded granules and dark spots/markings on mantle, sometimes with dark longitudinal line on either side; light brown mid-dorsal stripe on tail; very slimy, sticky mucus (Herbert 1997).
Size:
To 50 mm+ extended (Herbert 1997).
Distribution:
E Zimbabwe and South Africa (Herbert 1997).
Habitat:
Sea level to 1200 m altitude; under leaf litter and fallen bark, in forests (Herbert 1997).
