Size:
Up to 45 mm long (preserved).
Distribution:
Native to: N Caucasus and forelands, southwards to the Great Caucasus ridge, scattered distribution in N Turkey. Introduced to: Tashkent, Pushkin near St. Petersburg and Rostov-na-Donu.
Type locality: N Caucasus: Maykop.
Habitat:
Forests, under wood and stones, in grass and under leaves. Also as a synanthrope in gardens and greenhouses. .
Life cycle:
Slugs hibernate as juveniles, reach maturity in spring, adults only in early summer. Later in the year only juveniles are found, a part if which reach the male phase of genital development in autumn.
