Conservation status:
Vulnerable (Verdú & Galante 2006).
Morphology:
External: Slug usually evenly coloured; sometimes there are some dark spots on the mantle.
Internal: Penis divided in two parts; posterior part with a small lateral pocket; penial gland like a finger with two rows of big papillae; vas deferens and retractor muscle attached at base of penial gland; stimulator conical; no caecum on rectum.
Size:
Up to 30 mm long (preserved).
Distribution:
NW Spain (between Santander to Asturias in the coastal mountains, also in NE Galicia).
Type Locality: Spain: Oviedo, 8 km SE Covadinga, Picos de Europa, near Lago de la Ercina, 1100-1250 m, UTM UN39.
Habitat:
Limestone mountains, in short herbal vegetation, 1000-1200 m altitude.
