Behaviour:
Defends itself by spreading out its large mantle (Forsyth 2004).
Morphology:
External: Light tan body and mantle with black spots; broad mantle covering most of dorsum with a black longitudinal stripe on either side; pneumostome posterior to middle of mantle (Forsyth 2004); keel present; no caudal mucus pore; sole is sometimes 3-part, sometimes not (Leonard et al. 2011).
Internal: Epiphallus present; buccal and tentacular retractors joined behind diaphragm (Leonard et al. 2011).
Size:
65 mm long (Forsyth 2004).
Distribution:
NE Washington east to Idaho panhandle, W Montana, SE British Columbia (Forsyth 2004).
Habitat:
Cool, wet coniferous forest; under bark and fallen logs and in hollows in the earth and talus (Forsyth 2004).
Trophic strategy:
Consumes fungus (Forsyth 2004).
