Conservation status:
Endemic species.
Morphology:
External: Slug evenly black; keel very weak and restricted to the posterior 16-20 mm; mantle large (23-27 mm long), oval, pointed at posterior end; sole subdivided in 3 longitudinal sections, evenly white or yellowish white.
Internal: Penis very short (less than 26 mm, in Limax albipes up to 60-70 mm).
Size:
Up to 80 x 14 mm (preserved).
Distribution:
Italian peninsula: Monti Reatini, Gran Sasso.
Type Locality: Italy: Central Apennines, Monti Reatini, Iaccio Crudele, 1700 m.
Habitat:
Meadows in upper mountain zones, under stones and near herbal plants.
