Limacus Lehmann, 1864  

Limacus contains two species that have varied skin patterns (Schileyko 2003).

The genus is difficult to place systematically within Limacidae, because their rectal caecum resembles that of Lehmannia, whlie their penial anatomy is like that of Limax (Wiktor 1996).
