Limax (Limax) punctulatus Sordelli, 1870
Limax cereoniger.
External: Somewhat worm-shaped body; grey-brown, brown, or grey-yellow body, sometimes with black or brown spots in rows on sides, and darker mantle and dorsum; mantle may have spots; keel 1/4 body length, pale; an orange-red spot on the neck under the mantle of at least some specimens; sole cream (Wiktor 1983).
Internal: Penis >2.5x(!) body length, very coiled, contributing >1/3 of visceral mass; vas deferens 1/4 penis length; strong muscular retractor at penis apex; spermatheca long, distinct from its duct; short oviduct and atrium like L. cereoniger (Wiktor 1983).
Similar to L. cereoniger, but has longer penis, 1-color sole, weaker keel, finer grooves in skin, broader posterior body (Wiktor 1983).
To 130 mm long alive. Preserved: to 105 mm long, 20 mm wide, mantle 29 mm long (Wiktor 1983).
Italy, Bulgaria, S Switzerland (Wiktor 1983).
Forests and similar habitat as L. cinereoniger. In Bulgarian mountains, to 1700 m altitude at the deciduous tree timberline (Wiktor 1983).
