Heterovaginina peruviana (Kraus 1953)
Morphology:
External: Notum black with dark gray irregular spots, sometimes with light lines on the notum; hyponotum plain gray; female genital opening in middle of hyponotum, about 1/4 width from the sole (Kraus 1953).
Internal: Vagina and rectum do not occur close together in the integument; ovate, short, almost symmetrical penis,1.75 mm long, 0.85 mm thick; no stimulator or glands(?) on penis; long penial muscular retractor; spermatheca with a bulbous base and thinner apical end (Kraus 1953).
Size:
To 62 mm long, 19 mm wide, 8.0 mm wide hyponotum side (Kraus 1953).
Distribution:
Peru (Thomé et al. 1997).
Type locality: Lomas von Atoncongo, near Lima, Peru (Kraus 1953).
Habitat:
Found under rocks and near a spring (Kraus 1953).
