Biology:
The genus represents 10 species in East Africa (Schileyko 2002).
Morphology:
Internal: Short vas deferens; very long epiphallus; long, tubular penis; conic verge inside upper part of penis, and lower part of penis with folds inside; spermatheca with fairly long duct; appendix ranging from small to well-developed on atrium, with a few small retractors on appendix; spermatophore without spines, with 1-2 keels on posterior end (Schileyko 2002); small rounded dart sac, w/ no darts, on left of atrium, no/limited retractor muscles; long lime gland and flagellum on epiphallus; atrium and dart sac distinct (Verdcourt 1960).
Distribution:
Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire (E Africa) (Schileyko 2002).
