Eumilax brandti (Martens, 1880)
External: Brown to dark brown with spots/flecks, marbling on mantle; thick skin with fine grooves; keel extends along entire dorsum to mantle; pneumostome (uniquely) anterior to midline of mantle and with raised edge; 3-part sole with lighter central region (Schütt 2010).
Internal: Short atrium; “bipartite penis” with a pointed stimulator in basal part, apical part ovate; long epiphallus; short, cylindrical spermatheca (Schütt 2010).
Juveniles: Very dark brown (Schütt 2010).
Very large slugs, to 250 mm long extended; preserved: 150 mm long, with mantle >1/3 body length (Schütt 2010).
High parts of the Great Caucasus Mts. and western foothills to Turkey (Schütt 2010); China (Chen & Gao 1987).
High mountainous habitat and foothills; alpine meadows; under dead trees, leaf litter, moist rocks (Schütt 2010).
